This is a lovely crafting lesson with a bit of history and botany thrown in. Ideal for Halloween or for anyone who wants to use the power of natural plants to make something to help them relax or cleanse their space! Watch the beginning of the video for tips on foraging what you need to make your perfect broom and then head out into nature and start collecting! Once you have your choice of branches, sticks and plants, you can follow along with Ruth to make your own unique broom. There is the option of using a glue gun (but Ruth encourages you not to and doesn't herself) and the use of a needle and shears, so adult supervision will be required for the use of these items. Worksheet included to help plan, reflect and organise your design.
