Course Information

Hi, I’m Nickie and I run Happy Arts Hub.

I’m a dedicated Arts and Wellbeing Activity Specialist who has worked privately as well as for charities, community organisations, a range of educational settings and Home Educating families for over 25 years. I have created hundreds of arts activities and educational programmes used by youngsters in one-to-one sessions or group classes supporting wellbeing, self-regulation, positive mindset and personal growth.

I am a home educating mama to my two gorgeous little spirits who grow and bloom into incredible kind creative's every day. On my journey to find alternative formal qualifications in Art for my children that were not as expensive as GCSE’s, I came across Arts Awards which seemed perfect for them, and so I started my journey as an Arts Award provider and assessor for the Bronze and Silver Arts Award. I am so proud of my current students and hope to help anyone who is interested in undertaking an Arts Award Qualification.

I am proud to join forces with Learn Laugh Play and provide you with the means to create an Arts Award portfolio. You can do this in different ways dependent on what support you feel you need. Firstly you will need to purchase your Portfolio pack £20 from this site, which includes an information pack, portfolio template and registration form. You will then also have access to advice and support from myself, LLP and other parents and students via a dedicated Facebook page. You can ask to join this page once you have bought your portfolio pack.

Learn Laugh Play also has optional mini sessions that will fully support learners through each question and offers model answers and portfolio examples. these are optional and dependant on whether you prefer to work through the portfolio pack by yourself or want some further support and guidance. These sessions will help with the successful achievement of Bronze arts Award portfolios. The mini sessions can be purchased for each part of the Arts Award separately for £4 if support is required for a particular part or together as a bundle for £16.

When the portfolio of work has been completed you will send the work directly to me and I will assess the work and arrange the portfolio to be submitted for moderation and certification with Arts Trinity London. This is will an additional cost of £60 which includes all the assessment/moderation and certification all of which is optional. If the portfolio has not passed the assessment stage you will be contacted to make any required changes and/or submit additional evidence. If these instructions have been followed there will be no additional cost and the final portfolio when submitted will then be sent on for moderation. In the event that work is still missing and further guidance and support is required, a reassessment fee will apply. Happy Arts Hub will work with you and advise of any additional costs at this point

Learn Laugh Play also provides various art and creative sessions and has a long menu of activities and classes to select from. Any of these activities can be chosen and used to support a young person’s Arts Award journey and can be selected upon the young person’s interests and under their direction. These are particularly helpful for Part A of both Bronze and the Silver Arts Award providing your young person with the opportunity to take part in an arts activity and challenge.

I am proud to be working with Learn Laugh Play to offer Arts Awards for young people to take on their own Arts Journey. I will do my absolute best to help if you need some extra support and I’m excited to see new artwork and portfolios from young aspiring artists.

Look forward to hearing from you and seeing your work on Facebook or when sent to me for assessment and moderation/ certification from Trinity College.

Nickie
