Course Information

Perception is the process by which the brain interprets sensory information, turning raw data from our eyes and ears into meaningful experiences. The AQA GCSE unit focuses on visual illusions (like the Müller-Lyer illusion), factors affecting perception (such as culture and motivation), and theories including Gregory’s constructivist theory and Gibson’s direct theory. It also looks at how perception can be influenced by context and past experience.
