Go back to the very beginning of the Trojan War with the crazy story of an apple, a beauty contest, a stolen wife and a sacrificed daughter…before any weapons have even been fired! In this mini course, you will learn about some of the key stories and main characters from Homer’s famous poem, the Iliad, while getting to grips with how the gods and goddesses play an important role in the war. Each lesson features a writing task, with the option to draw or create to make the lesson more memorable and immersive. Pretend to be the most beautiful woman in the world (Helen of Troy) writing to your abandoned husband, or make a scale model of the wooden horse which brought the whole war to an end!
