Who ruled Rome before the emperors?

In this Mini Course, step into the chaotic and violent world of the Roman Republic, filled with plots to overthrow the government and power struggles. Meet Cicero (an oldfashioned politician who eventually meets a sticky end), Octavian (a spoilt brat who eventually becomes emperor) and Cleopatra (an exotic queen desperate to prove herself). This is an exciting journey through some of Rome’s most important historical moments, led by LLP Classics teacher, Kate.
