Do you love spending time outdoors and want to know more about the wildlife you find there?
This series of four lessons will help you to encourage more wildlife into your garden through a series of easy and low cost activities aimed at developing your garden or outdoor space into a haven for wildlife.
The sessions will offer advice on wildlife friendly plants and features while also helping you to develop your knowledge and understanding of the creatures who live in and visit your garden.
Focussing on birds, bugs, amphibians and mammals, the sessions draw on several areas of learning from data collection, anatomy, classification, and botany to arts and crafts. During the series you will learn to make bird and butterfly feeders, a wildlife pond and a footprint trap to help you to enhance and enjoy your wildlife friendly garden.
Worksheets accompany each lesson. These sessions can be enjoyed year round and most of the activities can be participated in whether you have a garden or not.
